Kineton Art Group has restarted, and on Saturday 9th October 2021, we celebrated with our first exhibition in two years!
Everyone was thrilled to be displaying and sharing their work again, and it was fascinating to see how some members’ art had changed and developed during the lockdowns. For something that was a simplified event, the members pulled together brilliantly and achieved in creating a beautiful exhibition in the village.
Our president, John Lines, was also there in support of the group. He provided a superb set of new oil paintings for display, and ‘Knit One, Purl One’ pictured below, was voted as the favourite for the show. Congratulations to John!
In the competition, second place went to Gill Gale for her gorgeous textile piece, ‘Farm Gate’, pictured below. Congratulations to Gill!
In this exhibition, we also welcomed Kineton Camera Club who joined us for the first time to showcase their work and promote their club. Their work was greatly admired, and if you’d like to know more about them then here is their website address: http://www.kinetoncameraclub.co.uk/
Many thanks to Alison and Graeme for organising this exhibition, and to all the members who helped in some way. Let’s hope it is only a few short months until the next KAG exhibition!
