Chris Gibbons

I studied art in grammar school where I was lucky enough to get the senior art prize after my A-level pass, and was granted a place at Camberwell School of arts. My life took a turn when I was offered a recording contract about the same time I was due to Go to college. At the end of 2019 I enrolled in the adult community learning program painting and drawing course, I hadn’t done any art for 50 years. As you can see from my selection of paintings I’ve been trying many different subjects hoping to find a style which is unique to myself. People seem to like the brightly coloured works, I recently have been trying a series based on these very graphic design oriented colours. I work mainly in watercolours and acrylics.

I have found the art group a great help and inspiration.
